Stripe supports instant verification for approximately 5,000 financial institutions in the US (that's 97% of all US bank accounts) but for instances when a bank account cannot be linked instantly, Stripe and RPC support standard verification.
How to Make a Payment Using Stripe Micro-Deposit Verification
If you cannot link your bank account instantly or would prefer to pay an invoice using manual verification, you can easily connect your account through Stripe using micro-deposit verification. Stripe will verify your bank account using a small micro-deposit. Micro-deposit verification is a simple security step that confirms your bank account before you make your payment.
Step 1: Create Your Free Rock Paper Coin Account
If you don't already have a Rock Paper Coin account, sign up for free here. Sign-up only takes a couple of moments. Be sure to select "Client" when setting up your account.
Step 2: Add Your Bank Account
Once you've created your account, go to your My Wallet page (click the top-right icon)
Select the US Bank Account option and click "Enter bank details manually"
Enter the required information
Step 3: Wait for Your Micro-Deposit
After adding your bank account, Stripe will send a small micro-deposit to your bank account
It can take 1–2 business days for the deposit to appear. Keep an eye on your bank account so you can access the information you'll need for verification
Step 4: Verify Your Bank Account
Once your micro-deposit has been sent, you'll receive an email from Stripe with a link to verify your bank account
Click the link in the Stripe email and follow the instructions. You'll be asked to enter the information shown in your bank account related to the micro-deposit
Once you've entered the requested information, Stripe will verify your bank account
Step 5: Go to Your Invoice and Make Your Payment
Now that your bank account is verified, return to your Rock Paper Coin account and open the invoice you'd like to pay
Select the installment(s) to pay
Select ACH/Bank Account as your payment method and choose the bank account you previously added to your wallet
Click Pay
Tada 🎉 Your payment will be processed through Stripe using your verified bank account
Can I use a business bank account for manual verification?
Yes. Business bank accounts are accepted for manual (and instant verification)
