What is an invoice template?
An invoice template lets you save line items, amounts, taxes, descriptions, notes, attachments, settings, and payment schedules so you can quickly generate invoices without starting from scratch each time.
Why would I use an invoice template?
Templates save time and help keep your invoices consistent. If you regularly use the same services, pricing, payment terms, or notes across multiple clients, creating a template can dramatically reduce repetitive work.
How do I create an invoice template?
Go to Invoices in the left-side navigation.
Click Templates.
Click the + TEMPLATE button.
Enter a title for your template and fill in any invoice details you want saved, such as line items, amounts, taxes, notes, attachments, settings, and payment schedules.
Click SAVE to save the template for future use. If you click USE, the template will be saved and immediately applied to a new invoice.
Using an invoice template
When you're ready to create an invoice, click + INVOICE, then choose Apply a template. The template will pre-fill the invoice, but you can still edit any of the fields before sending it.
Pro Tip: Create separate invoice templates for each of your services or packages. This makes it easy to generate accurate invoices with the correct pricing and terms in just a few clicks.
