Plaid is a well known and highly trusted platform for instant bank verification - in fact, many large institutions such as Venmo use it! While plaid is usually able to link with most banks and credit unions easily, there are a couple of cases where additional steps may be required.

I'm receiving an "invalid credential" error but I know I'm entering the correct login information

In rare cases, your financial institution may require an additional step in order to link your account. If you're sure that your login information is correct, you may need to check your bank website for special settings to allow access for third-party apps, such as a "third party application password" or "allow third party access" setting. If you don't see this information on your bank's website, you may want to reach out to their support team.

Please note: you can opt to use a different bank account, credit or debit card to proceed with your payment, if preferred.
