First, don't panic. Second, do you have a Chase account? If so, it's a good thing. Chase provides a "virtual" or "substitute" bank account number on top of your original number, as an additional security feature.

One thing we recommend to easily reference the correct account (especially in instances where you have multiple bank or card accounts linked) is assigning your accounts a "nickname."
