Your guide to email notifications and how to make updates

Who receives email notifications?

RPC wants to ensure the right people get the right emails...and that no one is bogged down with messages they don't want! Here is a quick guide about emails:

  • The sender of any proposal, contract, or invoice by default receives all email notifications pertaining to the documents (only Admins and Owners are able to send documents).

    • Examples of default email notifications for document senders include: contract complete, contract is ready for countersignature, contract overdue, invoice overdue, invoice payment received, proposal accepted, and proposal overdue

  • Admin and Owner users do not receive email notifications about documents they did not send

  • Members must be explicitly assigned to a client to receive email notifications. When any user is assigned a client, they will receive all email notifications pertaining to the client and their documents

What are global notifications?

Global notifications allow your team the ability to add email addresses to emails they would not otherwise receive (example: users who are not the sender of document).

Can I update email notifications?

Yes. An account owner or admin can make changes to their global email notifications as well as to members of their team.

Where do I access and update global email notifications?

  • Head over to your "Admin" page (accessed in your top-right menu)

  • Click "Notifications"
    ​Note, the only email address that populates by default is the account owner. If you are an admin member, your default email notifications do not display but you are still set up to receive all messages regarding documents you send.

  • You will see a history of global notification edits made by yourself or by your Admin team members.

Am I able to add an external email address to a global notification?

Yes. You can add any email address - for instance, an accountant or bookkeeper.

Am I able to add more than one email address to global notifications?

Yes. You can add as many email addresses as you need to.

If I accidentally add an email address to a global notification a user already receives, will they get duplicate emails?

No. RPC will not send more than one email notification to the same email address.
